Spring Break was full of wonderful excursions! The girls in the week long photography workshop lead by Chiapas based photographers Luis Aguilar and Margarita Martinez Perez  visited the 5 boroughs of New York City interviewing artists and residents for the ‘Boxes, Borders, & Boundaries’ photography project  to explore the personal realities & geographic externalities of life as a young woman in today’s globalized world. On Thursday we interviewed Viva Ruiz in her Williamsburg home. She bestowed us with her wisdom and perspective on the importance of art and creativity in her life. Stay tuned for the interview on our WGRL podcast page!
