2020 Tough Broads Film Festival Enjoy our weekly, themed program of short films created by our Girls Club members, along with our favorite movie picks made outside the Club.   Head over to our YouTube channel to watch them all (and don't forget to subscribe to see future films!) This week’s program opens with an amazing animation just completed by the very talented Girls Club animation class!  Followed by a clip from our NASA Space Apps Challenge Application, because we can’t ever get enough space. We’ve done the challenge two years in a row and look forward to participating again this coming October. UNLADYLIKE2020 Screening

Please join us  for a sneak peek screening of the first video in UNLADYLIKE2020, a transmedia series featuring extraordinary, unsung women who changed America at the turn of the 20th century, in honor of the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage in 2020. In celebration of National Aviation Month in November, this event will include a screening of the UNLADYLIKE2020 trailer, and the first episode in the series, which tells the amazing story of Bessie Coleman, the first African American woman pilot. There is a screening at 5:30 pm, which is currently at capacity. The 6:15 pm screening will kick off with a short film by a girl from the Lower Eastside Girls Club, and the screening will be followed by a Q&A with series creator, director, and producer Charlotte Mangin and artist and animator Amelie Chabannes, as well as a reception. This is a free event and all are welcome, but we ask that you please register on Eventbrite. All artwork by Amelie Chabannes.
