“I believe that the mission, vision, and values of the Girls Club are also the keys to its long-term sustainability. As a nonprofit organization, we build strength by cultivating a people-centered work culture and inclusive systems that are a reflection of the change we wish to see in the world. I am proud and grateful to work alongside the dedicated, gifted, and passionate staff members at The Lower Eastside Girls Club to continue to build upon its rich legacy,” said Lanthy Truong, CEO, The Lower Eastside Girls Club.

Lanthy embodies the spirit of our organization, and we are excited for the journey ahead under her leadership.”
Jenny Dembrow will continue to serve as the Executive Director, continuing to steer the organization through oversight of Programming and Development. She shares, “I am eager to partner with Lanthy to bolster the organization and build upon our legacy of creating a just and equitable world filled with Joy, Power, and Possibility. I have seen the Girls Club through 28 years of transformation, and I could not be more optimistic about the new chapter ahead of us.”
The Lower Eastside Girls Club Board Co-Chair, Gael Towey, adds, “Lanthy Truong has twenty years of non-profit experience and a deep commitment to education, but it is her big heart, people-centered approach coupled with her financial, strategic, and operations expertise that got our board truly excited to work with Lanthy.”
